Empowering Young Learners
Empowering young learners with dyslexia to unlock their full potential is a privilege. Students with dyslexia need to learn the complexities of the English language in a way that makes sense to them - cognitively and in a structured manner. Through explicit, structured literacy instruction and multisensory techniques, I help them build strong reading foundations and cognitive skills. Witnessing their progress and growing confidence is the rewarding heart of my work.
My commitment to your student includes:
-
Creating a Safe Environment: Many students with learning differences have experienced frustration and low self-esteem. My first priority is establishing a positive, collaborative, and safe working environment. Here, students are empowered to take risks, ask questions, and build the foundational confidence necessary for long-term success.
-
Holistic Support: Cultivating a supportive learning environment where students can master comprehension strategies and build lasting confidence.
-
Customized Planning: Development of an individualized lesson plan and tailored materials to address specific learning needs.
-
Explicit & Systematic Phonics: Targeted instruction in reading and spelling based on proven, evidence-based strategies.
-
Systematic coaching in Executive Functioning Skills: Assessing a student's EF challenges and coaching them in the essential skills required for high-level academic achievement.
